Cannondale F600 2006
In short, it’s a hardtail mountain bike with an aluminum frame, lockout front HeadShok, Avid BB5 disc brakes, SRAM X-7 components, an FSA triple crank, and a very painful seat.
It’s went thru a few little hiccups since I started commuting on this thing. First, I had a pedal break while out riding in Portland with a buddy. Bought new pedals. Then, a week later, the chain broke right off about 1/2-mile from home. Argh. Bought a new SRAM PC-951 9-speed chain. Then, a month later, the leftside pedal broke out of the crankarm. This time, it took all the threads out of the arm and a new one was installed by the LBS. Blerg. I haven’t ridden the bike since the end of June when I picked up the Poprad (see below). Expect this bike to see much more road once the summer is nearing its end.

LeMond Poprad 2005
On June 26, I made a great purchase thru Craigslist. The bike is a 2005 LeMond Poprad cyclocross bike (pictures to come) in great condition. It’s made of True Temper OX Platinum steel and is comprised of Shimano 105 parts with Bontrager components. The wheels are aftermarket, hand-built Mavic CXP22/Ultegra combination. The bike is treating me very well.

My Gear
I am friends with these two sisters and they have a book that talks about what it means to be born on the day that you are born. I was born on October 20, the day of vogue. At first, I called hardcore super bullshit but, after some thought and self-reflection, I realized that this may be a little true… I was soo very much into the fashion aspect of modifying cars and cycling is just as much about the looks as it is about the ride. Bike fashion is sweet. I would love to be able to pull off a skin-suit (I promised myself I would not wear anything like that in public). For now, I am rocking:
- Chrome Ranchero messenger pack that I got off craigslist. I love it
- Sidi Bullet 2 Mountain/Cross Cycling Shoes + Crank Bros Cleats (when I’m on the Poprad)
- Sock Guy Low-cut Cycling Socks
- Specialized Body Geometry Gel Riding Gloves
- Giro Indicator Helmet sans visor
- Novara Stowable Lightweight (Wind & Water Resistant) Jacket
- Voler Peet’s Coffee & Tea Limited Edition Cycling Jersey (Gotta represent)
- Not enough pants suitable for riding
